Why no Holdem/8?

Has anyone ever tried out Holdem/8 at a home game? If so, how was it.

I am just curious if there is some obvious reason why it isn't played anywhere. I understand that when you compare it to a game like Omaha/8 there will be a lot fewer ways to scoop only playing around with 7 cards as opposed to 9, but this problem would seem to be just as bad in 7 Stud/8, and that is at all the major online sites. I would expect that this would be a really good game against loose/passive types.
