Default TY TY TY TY TY TY JAsucker

JAsucker posted about some advice he got from a man on the mountain (who is my idol in this game).

when you're running well and playing well, play higher. when you're running bad, play lower b/c everybody knows who's doing well and who's doing bad. when you're playing well and running well, people take fewer shots at you, and vice versa for running bad. this is how to get and keep the money.

i *apparantly will---gabe* post amounts but this has been a very good few days playing at limits i haven't been at for a while. but ive been running well lately and thought id follow the man on the mountain's advice w/ an amount o fmoney i was perfectly happy to lose.

how do you keep track?

i took a shot at a game i dont normally play lately due to large variance associated w/ it with an amount of money i was willing to lose b/c i felt good, have been playing good and running well.

id say given how good ive felt and how few perceived mistakes ive been making the results are more likely to be this way than the other...either way, without the inspiration provided by MoM and JA, i wouldn't have even taken the shot and steered clear of those limits period, as i planned to when bk and i discussed it back in august.

FWIW, and i know there isnt supposed to be serious poker discussion here, i have been finding that the best thing to do is consistently play games i feel i can crush and play higher when there is a good enough lineup that the potential variance is outweighed my my increase expected earn.
