I'm sure there's a math person who can prove this one way or another, but I think you'd probably get the same BBs with a turn 3-bet or the line you took. If you 3-bet the turn, Villian probably wouldn't have bet the river, but called your river bet.

I'm on the fence on which line I like better.

I don't really understand how this line loses the least and wins the most. I don't get why we're even focusing on how much we lose here, because we're winning a vast majority of the time.

we lose a lot of value, IMO by just calling the turn. If he's trying to raise a strong draw to get us to fold, he's check/folding the river when he misses.
