i think a flop check raise was in order there. if UTG1 bets and theres a few callers, thats a lot of dead money if they fold to your raise.

I think that's a good turn card, actually, as you'll now get some action when you push the turn. Just hope the board doesnt pair again.

maybe.

let me ask this though...what calls that overbet on the flop? a set? two pair? flush draw? that turn card (to me) filled up some of the likely hands that the CO could have been trying to see a cheap flop with a lot of callers, such as 55/33/A5s.

of course there is a good chance i am ahead here but i am confused on how to play the turn out of position, check and hold on to my seat? push?

they dont have to be that strong at all. flush draw, AK or AQ even.

a flush draw is one of the likely holding i put him on. but AK/AQ? you don't think he would raise this before the flop especially with the min raise and callers? nobody showing any real strength? now way this is AK/AQ, unless he is more passive than i thought.

why take a chance of flush draws checking around? i know that someone got a piece of this flop with 6 players so i want to build a pot with the best hand, if i fire at this pot i know someone is probably going to play with me. am i correct for thinking this? i just don't want to get to tricky here and end up biting myself in the butt.

How about a check on the turn?

trips will def have to bet here. So you can extract some value here.

Full house may or may not bet here depending on u'r opponent, and i guess this is what u'r most concerned about him having. So i think this comes down to your read on how he plays a boat when check to on a turn like this.

Likelyhood of a flush draw is relatively low, first because he called your overbet, and with the on the flop he probably doesn't have much more than 9 outs...so I can't see him calling that bet, unless he is extremely LAG.

so i think a check is in order and eval after his move.
