Default 2-pair and playing it as fast i can

Back at the $55s for the time being. Been running poorly though so my visit may not be for long. First hand so no reads.

UTG and button limp. SB completes. I tap with 98o.

Flop comes 985 with two spades.

I pot it for 60. UTG and button call.

Turn is a Kc.

I pot it for 240. UTG runs for the hills. Button pops it to 500.

Who's calling. Who's pushing?

It's the first hand of a 55. So 1000.

u've still got plenty of chips to be ok in the tourney, but i think top pair and flush draws are in it often enough to make it +ev to push

button is in for over half his stack, he's calling your push, but i can see him having kx, both of spades, for top pair and flush draw, or just kx...i dont see just flush draw reraising u after a blank turn...the times he has 99/88 (low % since u have 98) and the times he has 55/67/k5/k8/k9 are much lower than the times he has kx here...i see donk kq/kj/kt/k7/k6 calling your 60 in level one and then reraising u when they hit their king

pooooosh

If this (villain calling the flop bet with many K-hands) happens a lot then I agree it's a push.

If these K-hands cannot be included in Villains range, then it's a fold. Hero is not doing well against a range like this: KsXs, trips, straight.

I think it's close.

it happens a lot

they have top pair PLUS they have a gutshot straight draw...donks in early levels will call this stuff with anything and definitely when they have top pair or a flush draw

two options: either his read on your second pot bet was "come on guys can i please have this now" and as such tried to take it away from you. or else if he hit a lone king, he would have to think there is a reasonable chance that it is good and place that bet. i'd push it for sure - folding is just too weak/tight.

Looks like 67 to me. You're beat, fold.
