Default Live 15/30, JJ UTG

Live 15/30 the table is quite good but my raises have been getting respect since I am probably the tightest player at the table (boooo). Villian new to table, no reads.

I open with JJ UTG, folds to button who cold-calls, blinds fold (or maybe called and folded flop can't remember).

Flop comes Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet, Button Raises, I call.

Turn comes Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

I check, button bets, I raise...

spewing?

I probably call on the turn and check call on the river.

Without a read, this is a tough hand to play.

Good chance he has A-Q or K-Q cold calling two.

Definently not a bad choice either. I don't like the raise on the turn, i think that's the worst of the 3 options.

No, I think he means the turn.

I think the best line would be to bet the turn, and if I get raised, I fold.

I never even considered stop and go....i suck.

If I'm going to check/fold the turn when the second queen hits, I think I should just be folding to the flop raise.

Stop and go is sounding pretty good right now.

tough to play this hand.

if he is a habitual bluffer or someone who likes to semi bluff raise on a flush draw twice, i would consider to call him down.
against an opponent who bluffs / semibluffs on the flop from time to time i would bet the turn and fold to a raise.
against a rock i would consider folding on the flop and probably check/fold the turn.

without any reads i would chose option 2 (lead the turn and fold to a raise).

no read? fold.

i can't believe all this advice i'm reading about folding the flop. you're pretty much going to see a showdown here like always barring an ugly turn or river.

This is very difficult hand to play and it shows the beauty of the semi bluff. let's say that your opponent has Ah Kh. He now has 15 outs to beat you on the river, plus you might fold right here.

I like your raise on the turn. With the second queen showing, it's less likely the villian holds a queen. Your raise makes him pay the maximum to hit any draws on the river. If he had a queen, I'd imagine that he 3-bets and you call him down.
