Default Wisconsin State Journal Phil Hellmuth columns

Anybody in Wisconsin bother to read this weeks? It was titled "How to play Two Kings".

I thought it was kind of funny. It was a WSOP 2004 Bad Beat story of him losing with KK preflop all in vs an AJ [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] calling and losing to a straight on the turn after Phil hits top set on the flop.

It was worded in such a way that unless you were familiar with the Bad Beat posts here on 2+2 or were generally well versed in Poker you would not read it as such. He merely called his opponent an "amateur".

I actually had high hopes for the article, but its title suggests some kind of poker lingo jabber that talks about playing cowboys....it really didn't IMO. If anything it will convince some people to always go all-in with them which in itself isn't too horrible of a play when you're reraising a preflop raiser on a full table...but isn't always the best decision.

So just looking for comments from any other Wisconsinites who read the article.

I work for the Wisconsin State Journal as a copy editor. I feel the same way about the articles as I do about 'TILT' and anything else poker-related:

The more things out there that get people (ok, fishies) interested in the game, the better.

But, IMHO, the articles are pretty brutal.

It's a weekly syndicated column, probably coming to a newspaper near you.
