Default Lee Jones! Pokerstars Atlantis Accomodation

This year the accomodation is the Coral Tower in the atlantis, which doesn't suck but last year it was the Royal Towers, which ruled. Last year i think only $1.5k was taken for accomodation? ($11k - $1k - $8.5k), this year it's $2k. What's going on Lee Jones? Throw some weight around with the Atlantis you are bringing 1600 people there in bahamas winter season.

Yep.

Lee, could you also comment on :

[ QUOTE ]
- Unless we have told you otherwise, you will be checking in at the Coral Tower at the Atlantis.

[/ QUOTE ]

Who will be getting the other rooms? If I complete the registration now will that give me a better room than if I do it in a month's time?

Apologies if this sounds ungrateful; just curious!

Thanks.

I'd repost your question in this thread. Lee has been monitoring it and answering questions, so he may be more likely to see it there than in MTT.

Hi there -

Actually, we allocated $2K for the rooms last year as well. So while Atlantis prices have gone up, the cost you're paying hasn't.

As regards the Coral Tower vs. the Royal Tower, I stayed in the Coral Tower last year, and actually really appreciated its central location, and I thought the rooms were fine too. It's not as simple as "throw your weight around" at the Atlantis. The Atlantis is an unbelieveably large and prosperous operation, and even a group the size of ours doesn't have the leverage that one might expect.

As regards rooms in the Royal Tower, we have a few there, but they're available for upgrade only (i.e. you pay the difference in cost). If you're interested in booking one of those rooms, please contact us (after you've won your seat ) at:

pca@pokerstars.com

Thanks - and we'll see you on the beach.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

I like the central location idea. I was in the furthest possible hotel room from the poker room last year. Having my family with me I like the idea of a shorter walk.

I won this years trip last night. I wanted to personally thank Lee Jones for the results of this hand.(I am plasticman) You Rock!!!
