[ QUOTE ]
Just a bad beat. [/ QUOTE ] Is is necessarily a bad beat? Im not saying that it isn't, only that if utg had Qx [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], then it would be played correctly by them as well (perhaps excluding preflop). I think it is a better example that poker is a wagering game, and sometimes good bets go bad. |

Re: KK in MP
I play the hand the same way. The flop and turn are standard. There is no reason to think you aren't ahead when Villain backs down to your flop raise and check/calls the turn. His river bet is difficult to read, as is BBs calling all the way with you - reads might help you decide whether you want to try raising the river. I think you might be ahead often enough to raise for value - it depends on the chances of being 3-bet - but generally I would just call.

Re: KK in MP
You played it correct. No need to spew chips when he wakes up on the river. To take the overcall is the better way.

Re: KK in MP
Yup, would've played it the same. What did he have exactly? Runner runner flush? Did he have the Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]?
