AA hand
I don't like to just call with AA but is this a situation where it sometimes (not always) can be right to only call?
Button is tight... Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Hero ? |

Re: AA hand
Raises....
Do you open limp in CO with any other hands? Raise to make it look like a steal and hope someone plays back at you. |

Re: AA hand
I'de rather steal the blinds and win a small pot than lose a decent sized pot to 53o in the BB.

Re: AA hand
I would raise half my AA from this position, and limp with half of my AA. Winning the blinds only is giving up a lot of EV with AA. If you believe Pokertracker data, the value of AA is upwards of 3.0 BBs.

Re: AA hand
One of the mistakes poor players consistently make is defending their blinds too often. I would not expect to win the blinds very frequently with a raise here.

Re: AA hand
You need to raise here so that when you have Q8o next time you will win the blinds uncontested.
