Default Flop trips from sb... play along with me

40 minutes into a MTT on bodog with 20/40 blinds.

UTG limps
Button limps
I am SB with A3soooted (diamonds) and call
BB checks

Flop K33 with 2 hearts... Pot is 160

I have bet into almost every flop i have seen then if called have bet the turn too. So I think they expect me to bet...

Do you make a probe bet of 100
Check hoping someone will bet and you can reraise
If you check and they check around then another heart puts a flush out there.
If you check they may be suspect you checked
If you bet you may take down a small pot
Or if you bet and someone has a K or heart draw you may get paid off..

What do you do?

Bet, it's the best way to win a big pot off of a king which may well put in a big raise to protect against the flush draw. Also, gets more money in from a flush draw which may take a free card if you check and may semi-bluff raise if you bet.

So, bet 100, or whatever your normal bet is. Somewhere between 80-120 anyways.

Steve

P.S. Assuming you have <1000 chips, I'm 3-betting all-in if someone raises. If more, then either 3-bet all-in or check-call/raise allin depending on the player.

I bet this like top pair strong kicker no heart(close to pot). This will make a draw pay, a K pay and maintain your bet-at-every-pot image. Betting close to pot might be just enough to have a shorter stack K or draw push or jam back while a smaller probe bet is more likely to just get a call imo.

I'm a ring game player trying to learn tourneys.

Bet,

If you check raise it's likely you could scare off any king that's out there. Bet and make them think YOU're on the king cause "nobody would bet out with a 3 there".

When in doubt, don't slow play, it only leads to trouble.
