Wouldn't a smaller flop bet accomplish the same thing?

I think this is a stupid play. You have a very good stack, and theres no need to force anything. Just fold.

No, this is a terrible place for a stop and go. You have 16BB, and stop and goes are meant to be used in situations where you need the chips on the table or else your tournament is at stake.

It's a risky move to be used if you're in desperate shape. Misusing these is going to cost you a lot of money.

Also, as I understand it - stop and go is better used in a situation in which you're approx. a 50/50 against your opponent...doubtful thats the case with your hand.

I thought that a Stop N Go is where you have no FE pre flop, but by calling the raise and pushing ANY flop you hope to create FE any make OP make a mistake by laying his hand down

All i thought when i read this hand was why?

Why why why why why?

Seriously, why?

Maybe you should go over the last week or two worth of threads, there is a good discussion on stop and goes.

Stop n gos are used to create some FE when you have no preflop FE.

When you've got 15 BB after posting, you have tons of preflop FE. Thus no reason at all to try a stop n go. No reason at all to try to win this pot, in fact. Big stacks let you be creative, but be aware that there's a fine line between creative and stupid.
