Re: Green Valley Ranch - Poker room?
Thank God Green Valley Ranch does not have a poker room! I literally live right across the street, and if GVR had a poker room I would be there waaaaay too often.
The closest poker room to GVR is either the Henderson Fiesta, or the Sunset Statation, both are about 3 or 4 miles away. I would recommend Sunset over the Henderson Fiesta by far, but for the best selection you will need to make your way to the strip. GVR is a really nice hotel btw. One of the nicest in Vegas. Also some great restaurants, and a really good sportsbook. |

Re: Green Valley Ranch - Poker room?
The GVR is in Henderson, and is a bit a drive to the strip. Probably 15 minutes depending on traffic. Its a very nice place but not for poker. I wouldn't recommend poker at the Fiesta either. Only 2 or 3 tables and all local yocals. Get down to the strip for the looser action games.

Re: Green Valley Ranch - Poker room?
I live within a mile of GVR as well...Even though Sunset Station is closer distance-wise I find I can get to Mandalay Bay just as quickly.(Where the games are much better in my opinion)

[ QUOTE ]
For low limit games, the dealers I have spoken often agree that the best action is at the Station Casinos. It seems to be a local favorite, but the games are suposedly not as passive as you will find at the Mirage or the Bellagio for example. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] The $4-$8 half kill at the Sunset Station (right by my house) is very juicy. It is not at all unusual to see someone with 6+ racks worth in front of them. SpaceAce |
