I'm terrible on names. Was Erin the Maxim (was it Maxim?) lady from last year that won her office pool to get in??

If so, I'm fairly surprised she played again this year...

Thanks. That means Raymer has almost 50 BBs, no need for desperation moves yet.

[/ QUOTE ]

Each player must put in 14k in antes, plus 24k in blinds each round. So Raymer would have enough chips to last 20 rounds if he just folded every hand.

I think this would be a good strategy for him, he could probably move up a few levels in the money. However, i think he should probably make a move when he gets down to 5BB's just so he has some chance of hanging on.

True, but we're talking Raymer here. He'll do more than his share of blind stealing to keep afloat.

She is part of "Team Pokerstars"

Is it both?

Pretty cool if so.

Did stars sponser her buy-in or something? I can't imagine an office pool winner who was lucky enough to cash being willing to pony up their own cash the next year...

I think Matusow is a good POKER PLAYER - you get the point with the emphasis. Just like Phil Hellmuth, both of them behave so ridiculous at times that it masks their true talent in poker to the world. I nkow he is a jerk and all that, but I also think he is due for a big win purely because he is a good player and will have some luck sometimes. I still remember his bust out in the last WSOP ME when he got his AK beat by AQ - preflop all ins - by a Q on the river. Raymer said 'Mike was busting out no matter what'. I would love Raymer and Mike cimng 1st and second or vice versa - i don't care. But I am rooting for both independantly.

She won the office pool for Maxim last year.

This year she is a member of Team Pokerstars.
