Get some of the black fabric covered bands girls and old hippies use to make pony tails -- the ones that are once piece, not the ones with the metal clip holding it together

I have one of these and they work great when you don't want to carry a wallet. After I purchased, I realized that the 10 cent black binder clips basically accomplish the same task.

Do you or anyone have experience with these? I'd like to replace my bulky wallet with something that holds my ID, some plastic and enough bills to get by, and one that won't wear out after a month or two of heavy use.

Thanks,

Swede

Yeah, you can get a workable money clip at those mall kiosks easy. I even found a cheesy one that looks like a pewter poker chip I use it to hold my poker money seperate from my spendin money.

Also, you can find an el cheapo money clip for any theme on...Ebay!
Heck, I've seen lots of them being sold by various municipalities when they sell off their seized and "lost and found" goods.

Laugh all you want about a scrunchy, but they can hold a crap load of bills.. much more than a standard money clip and they won't break like a ruberband can. Plus, they have the added bonus that you can take them through airport security without having to wory about them setting off the metal detector.

However, when I'm not traveling, I use a medium size binder clip.

These hold the money well, are easy to open, and have a low profile.

I've tried the binder clip, but they always tear up the inside of my pocket. Don't you have that problem?

I use a binder clip as well. The medium sized ones hold ~40 bills folded in half.

I use a money clip in place of a wallet and hate the thought of sitting on a wallet ever since I switched. Got it as a HS graduation present. Holds 7-8 cards and a bunch of bills. I'd second going to a place like Things Remembered or a mall department store.
