Default Measuring luck

I usually post on the Beginner's forum but I really want to nail this problem.

You play 100 hands of limit holdem and you've got basic PT type stats.

If you end up down by 20bb how can you tell why?

This question then leads on to loosing runs. In posts people say that its just variance, but how do they know? how can it be measured?

What are the stats(like in PT)you could use to measure?

Have you got a good poker book in your library? If you like to play limit hold'em like i do, you *MUST* go and buy small stakes hold'em by ed miller. YOU MUST! read it. Read it again. Then play a lot. After a few hands, post on this website at the microlimits or small stakes limit forums. They'll tell you what you did wrong, or did right. BTW - whether you win or lose a hand don't matter - its how you play it. Hope that helps you! GL!

No. Sample size too small. Although you can feel free to post individual hands from those 100 in which you're not sure if you played correctly to see what others think. But pt stats are pretty meaningless for a 100 hand sample size.
