Default Potawatomi Milwaukee (Best place to stay)

They have several hotels listed on their web site. Which is the closest and safest?

The closest two are probably the ambassador or the executive. Jeffrey Dahmer killed somebody at the Ambassador, FWIW. These two aren't in the greatest neighborhood, but I live a couple blocks from them and I've never really had a problem. But, I would probably suggest the Holiday Inn city center. The rooms are reasonably priced (very inexpensive if you can get like an Entertainment Book, or AAA discount.) And they are fairly nice, its not too far from the casino- a couple miles, and its near downtown.

A couple weeks ago, I stayed at the Ramada Airport for about $50 or so. About 9 miles south of the casino on the freeway.

Last year I stayed at the Motel 6 by the airport. Don't bother. I didn't stay there to be close to Pot, it was just very cheap. I didn't even know it was so close to the casino (I was going to the Champ Car race in Elkhart Lake), so it was a pleasant surprise and a great way to get out of a crappy room for a while.
