Default Serious case of FPS

I hate making posts like this, but it's part of my game I need work on. Should I just raise this flop? I intended on check-raising the turn, trapping both players for two bets. Instead, it checked through. Thoughts?

EDIT: Reads, as I figure they're important (heh). This was flop raiser's first orbit. Flop cold-caller is a calling station, pure and simple. He's called a flop bet with just a backdoor straight draw, and bets with his better hands (TpTk, etc..)

I think you need to 3-Bet the flop and then lead the turn. He probably has AQ or AJ.

3 bet the flop. Bet the turn. Bet the river.
It's good to hold AK and get raised by a AQ or AJ. The lack of activity on the turn means you're probably looking at AJ.

personally, I like saving these "fancy" plays for heads up situations vs an aggro opponent, so you can guarantee something goes into the pot every street

Well that makes a lot of sense now that you mention it. I need to play more straight-forward, especially without reads on a particular opponent. As for how I'd normally play it, 3-bet the flop, lead the turn all the way, definately.

Looks like a simple 3-bet on the flop.

Get agro and bet at the turn, if he raises to 2BB call down.

River looks good.
