I'm not sure why you called the flop if you were going to fold on an innocent turn card.

i lead this flop, if raised then i may fold the turn unless i have a specific read of LAG. i may also consider checkraising, but that might just scare an over pair into thinking i have a T. if it were HU i wouldnt fold, but with the other player in its close.

This is one of those situations where I feel my best option is raise or fold. Given the position in the hand, I would have chosen fold here. If I was CO or Button, I would have raised.

Leading out is a very viable option as well. I would love to take the hand right there.

yes, being out of position really hurts you here.

My call was based on my outs. I figured 2 for the eights an 1 for the backdoor straight draw. Didn't count the tens because the preflop raise. Once the back door stright was dead on the turn I only have 2 outs and walked.

Analysis in white below:
Fold preflop, you lost the hand.

In the future, please do not include results in hand history posts. Even though we are a virtuous bunch here, we cannot always resist the urge to check the results of the hand before providing our analysis. Knowledge of the result may bias our analysis to an overly aggressive line (if you won the hand) or an overly weak one (if you lost). Therefore, to get the best information, please refrain from including the results in the initial post.

If you are interested in comments on an entire hand that you played, post all of the action but leave the results out. If you are interested in a particular action that you took, include all the action up to that point (excluding the specific action you're interested in) and ask "What should I do here?"

Be sure to include any reads you have on your opponents in a hand post, as well as a general read on the table if you have one. Of course, feel free to include the results in a later post after you have received some responses on your play.

Thanks,
NoResults

I'd probably bet, and fold to the raise.

I don't count outs when I have the best hand.
