Default QJs PreFlop

I didn't have much of a read, but this looked pretty close.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls, Hero calls, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, UTG calls, Hero ?

Hm, facing two cold with QJ suited and the possibility of a cap behind me...I fold.

I agree - in a 5-way pot JQs is nice .... in a 3-way capped pot we are most likely dominated and don't have enough odds/implied odds to try and flop something sweet.

I think in these situations I'd just hang on to pocket pairs and stuff I'd have raised PF with anyway.

I'm folding here.

I'm just curious about one thing though. Do you normally limp QJs UTG+1 or do you wait for a table read?

Even at stars .5/1 the tables aren't aggro to the point where I'd want to fold suited broadways UTG. Party as I understand is even more passive, so I don't see why we wouldn't do so as a default play.

Its not that I think its mistake to limp them, its just that I usually wait until I get a feel for how the table is playing before I'll put myself in that position.

I save my 1 BB - I'm out after the 3bet and just chalk it up to ----- "got caught limping from early position"

Easy call in my books.

Could be a leak.
