Re: ($11) JJ against shorter stacks
After a call, a min. raise from a shortstack + a push from another short I muck JJ preflop.

Re: ($11) JJ against shorter stacks
I'd play it the same way you did.
You'll doubtless have overcards to dodge, but at the $11 level there's no way the action before it gets to you has to mean qq or above. |

Re: ($11) JJ against shorter stacks
I think I would fold this too given the action ahead of me. CO really looks like he wants at a caller and the re-raise by SB indicates that he is happy to oblige. I really wouldn't be too suprised to find myself up against AA, KK or QQ here especially from the CO who chose to min-raise rather than push.
If the CO had pushed and the SB had folded then I would feel a little more confident about my Jacks and put in a re-raise to get HU with the CO. |

Re: ($11) JJ against shorter stacks
thanks for all the input.
i think folding would have been the better choice. simply because i still have time before my stack size becomes desperate and can find better opportunities. it seems to me that i have a tendency to overplay these good but not great hands like JJ (or AQ-AT,88-QQ...) too often right now, costing me the chance to get itm. i found some more examples while reviewing my hand histories. maybe i'll post some of them later. oh, sb = 33, co = KK and i never recoverd... |
