well, what could he have??
a set.. you have 4 outs to win, its hard to think that he has a straight, the way he bet out...

I'd probably have doubled his bet on the flop, maybe more. You were under $20 in your stack by that point and you hit top two pair, I would want all my money to get into that pot and to get called. So I'd take his $3 bet and raise to about $8, and if he comes over the top, great.

I sure wouldn't want him to see that club on the turn for only $3 on the flop.

i think you played this hand very week. preflop i'd raise to $1.5 on the flop, i'd make a pot sized bet. if he raises, i'd call. after his bet on the turn i'd get it all in, makes the river decision a lot easier

nh sir.

Yes, it's hard to think he has a straight on an A Q 9 6 board.

Nothing spectacular about this hand. If you lost to a set so be it. You can't play looking for monster under the bed all the time, and villain didn't do anything crazy to draw attention, with no reads this is an easy river call.

However your play is way to passive. You should of be re-raising on flop, or if you like wait until the turn and raise there - However your stacks aren't deep enough here for you to be able to get away from the hand on the turn.

The only thing you could of done is re-raised the flop. Also your flop bet is horribly weak. Bet 2/3 to the size of the pot.

If he had a straight on an AQ69 board, he's too good. You shouldn't be at the same table as him. I think that OP should should reraise all in here and expect to see A6 far more often than 66.

yea turns out he had 666.. we went all in on the river... im thinking next time i'll re raise on the flop.. then if he pushes all in i might fold since i would know by then he either has AQ or a set.. i did not put him on a6 and i can't imagine him ever having a6 nor did i put him on AA or QQ .. that leaves 66 .. so i was really playing scared on the turn and i tottally felt like he had a set.. but i couldnt fold .. gonna try harder to fold next time

He raises on the flop thinking his Ace is good, and when you just call the flop, he thinks he's great.
I think he may have hit his second pair on the turn A9
