Donks at the lower buy ins think they are the greatest players in the world. Normally they will mimic what they saw on TV and check to slowplay and trap with trips. Since he bet out, he probably doesn't have trips. Knowing this, he will probably fold medium pairs a high enough percentage of the time for a push to be a good move here.
