I'd be much more excited if they allowed cigars.

I had one this weekend. 6/12 game. I had trips, but was raised at the river on a somewhat scary board. During a brief moment of pondering, I said call and flipped my cards over as I started fumbling with their sticky chips. The guy tossed his cards towards the muck face up (MHWG). The guy then started to throw a fit when the dealer pushed me the pot. He couldn't hear my call and thought he pulled off a huge bluff. I say keep them banned.

I'm a happy camper... the banter in the 1-2 NL games is often well beyond INTOLERABLE. Unfortunately, that means that sometimes the only way to escape to a happy place and focus on the game is to go to the iPod/headphones. Dealers should be demanding of headphones players to act in a proper amount of time, and to do everything else the other players are expected to do... and for those who slow the game down or violate the regular order, well their hands should be mucked.

maybe i'm the only one that uses one headphone and keep my other ear open to hear the action. if he's using his ipod and misses out on the action, that's his problem. i use mine cuz i get bored and get sick and tired of the "experts" yap away on optimal strategy playing at 2/4 or 3/6. and ppl do a lot of bitching even when they win.

I would be excited if everyone was as responsible as you and actually kept the action moving. However, since people are idiots and inconsiderate jerks this will surely slow down the action.

amen to that. i'd add the 2/4, 3/6, 6/12 games as well. only stud with geriatrics provide relief.

I just bought an iPod, and if it helps me not get bored, I am all for it, although I can see the problems with it.
