Default KK - A Turn action poll

No stat reads. To this point, Button has not appeared to do anything to attract my attention for good or ill.

I voted bet/call a raise because I don't want to give a free card if Villian is drawing, and Villian may be continuing a semi-bluff straight draw.

However, I would not have threebet the flop in case Villian already made a straight or a set. I'd just call the flop raise and bet out again on the turn, and call down a raise from there.

I think checking this turn blows.

What do you put the button on here that makes check-calling so heinous?

The only thing that makes sense as a free card play is 88.
There's a better chance we are behind a set here.

Although I'm concerned about the button using a very expensive free card play on us, there are several mitigating factors:

1. this is an unknown in a low limit game. not that many unknowns make 4-bet free card plays

2. since there is no flush draw possible, it's much less likely that the button even holds a hand for which a 4-bet free card play would be possible

3. when we are wrong and he actually has a legitimate hand, we're drawing very thin. we lose much more when we're wrong than when we're right, so we have to be pretty confident that he is drawing to bet-call.

I'm not that confident, so I check call.

I've seen enough weird crap that this flop action doesn't say set to me automatically. While a set is possible, this could also be 88-JJ thinking their overpair is good. That Q can scare a lot of top pair hands or overpair hands into checking through. I don't know, I still feel like I have the best hand in this situation so I don't like to check, but maybe I'm spewing.
