Default The Party rebuy bug

The rule for rebuying in a Party rebuy tournament are :

"You can rebuy only when your current chip count is less than or equal to the number of chips you started the tournament with."

I assumed that this is a rule to allow someone to rebuy back into the tournament or replenish their chips after taking an early beat and to stop someone with a healthy chip count from buying an advantage and adding more chips to their stack?

But you may rebuy whenever you're all-in. It doesn't matter how many chips you have. if you move all in during the first hour before the hand is finalized you may rebuy.

Do all the online sites allow this or is Party alone?

Only on Party. And they won't fix this since this bug earns them money.

How does this earn them money? I think on the contrary, this COSTS them money!

More players rebuy. They collect rake on rebuys (unlike Pokerstars). Hence they earn money on this bug.

Where does it say they take a rake? I don't see it in the lobby.

Thank you for contacting us.

With regard to your e-mail, we would like to inform you that a player would be able to rebuy into a tournament should he/she go all-in.

This is not a deformity in the software. This is the way the Rebuy and Addon tournaments have been configured to function.

All the players would be able to do the same. You would be able Rebuy after you go all-in.

However, we would forward your concern to the management so that they can look into the matter.

I don't know if Party does it but Multipoker charge rake for rebuys. And Party never have profiled themselves as low rake champions so I suspect it is the same.

In a $5 tournament they charge $1 entry. Rebuys cst $5. It doesnt say anywhere on the website that they charge a hidden rake on rebuys. Are you suggesting they take rake out of the rebuy $5 without telling us?

It is possible that Party works differently than Multipoker. I haven't played any tournaments on Party.
