Default Chipotle, taxes, and Office Space

So I went to Chipotle today to get my usual steak burrito. I already had my $6.03 ready to go, since the burrito is $5.50 + 5% tax, which comes to $5.775, which rounds up to $5.78. Then, I got to thinking... what happens with that extra $0.005? Does Chipotle pay the 5% tax on each order individually, or do they pay 5% of their total sales every month/6 months/year/whatever? If they just pay 5% of their total per year or whatever, then they're getting half a penny extra on every steak burrito they sell all by itself, a la the Office Space fraction of a penny millions of times scam. If they pay per order ($0.28 for this one), then the gubment is getting 5.09% tax. Who's getting my extra half penny per burrito?

In case the tie-in to Office Space was a little too loose for you, here you go:

edit: fixed typo in final price.

The Cheesy Gordita crunch as made by the T-Bell near my house blows red-assed baboons. What's my play?

I was thinking about giving a serious answer but I didn't want to look like an a-hole who didnt' get the joke. But I'm not sure if there's a joke or not.
