Default postflop play in a 22: trying to steal a pot

Party 22. My read on the opponent is that he is a solid regular, a good tight-agro player. This turned out to be right as we finished 2nd and 3rd in this one. Here's what I don't understand. How am not able to steal this pot from him? Too big a turn bet? Hint: it's not because he trapped me.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) converter

Hero (t1090)
UTG (t945)
UTG+1 (t1305)
MP1 (t918)
MP2 (t1297)
CO (t1010)
Button (t655)
SB (t780)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
6 folds, SB raises to t100, Hero calls t50.

Flop: (t200) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets t50, Hero raises to t150, SB calls t100.

Turn: (t500) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero pushes all-in [t890], SB calls [t555] .

River: (t1610) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t1610

Call the flop, raise the turn.

SB shows 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] a pair of sixes.
Hero shows Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] high card ace.
Hero wins 310 chips from side pot #1 with high card ace.
SB wins 1560 chips from the main pot with a pair of sixes.

If this had been an average Party Poker moron, I'd have written this off as stubborn stupidity on his part that paid off. I'm giving this opponent much more credit than that based on his play later, so I clearly got schooled here. What is it in my play that makes him so sure his turned pair of sixes is good that he's willing to call his entire stack on it? If I call the flop and raise the turn, does he fold?

I think he took a chance that:
A. He had the best hand with the pair of sixes.
B. If he didn't have the best hand, he had many outs:
4 2's
4 7's
2 6's
3 4's

Not sure I would make the call in his spot, but I might. I would have preferred to be the one to push in his spot.
