Default What\'s the point of hand for hand play - read my rant

Okay - it's not the money I'm pissed about, cause I made the play knowing we were on the bubble.

But on pokerroom (and skins) - what's the point of hand for hand play - if they don't use it to break the tie between the money?

Here is the situation. 11 People left, top 10 get paid. I am the shortstack at my table with about 3200, and the second shortest stack overall. Blinds are at 400/800. It's a PL0/8 tournament- not that it matters, but I get dealt AK34 -DS.

As good a hand as I will see before the blind will hit me in 2 hands. UTG limps, I push. Folded back to UTG who calls.

He beats me, and I'm out in 11th.

But wait, at the other table, the SS small blind with only 2500 (before posting), had gone all in. And he loses about 10 seconds after me.

Yet he gets 10th- and the money, I get 11th- an no money.

This doesn't seem right.

Please do not debate wether or not I should have gone all in here on the bubble - knowing the Short stack was in the SB at the other table. While it is debateable, its not the point of this post.
