Re: how to play this TT on scary flop
[ QUOTE ]
he could be semibluffing, true. but i think it's far more likely that he coldcalled with a hand like KJ, QJ, K9, JT, etc.. and out flopped you. if you call down to defend against the semi-bluff, when he's not semi-bluffing you're paying all the way with only 2 outs. if he is semi-bluffing he has even more outs than normal as his pair outs are probably good. it's a small pot and you're either a big underdog or slightly ahead (for example, against QT it's about 55/45). fold the [censored] flop. i have problems with respecting raises from aggro tards and calling down light but this is an easy fold. [/ QUOTE ] I underestand you reasoning, but I don't think that folding the flop, if correct, is that easy. He may have a pair, or a draw. We do have a pair, and two weak backdoors. The pot is not small as we are getting 8.5 to 1. I do agree that if he is not ahead, he has many outs against us as well, diminishing our equity. But I don't think it's a clear flop fold. I'm on a restricted computer right now so I can't stove it, but if it's a -EV call, I don't think it's by much. I'd like to hear more on the flop play though. |
