Doesn't that just mean that there are 40K "players" right now? It could just be 10K actual accounts 4-tabling...

[/ QUOTE ]
Or 4K accounts 10-tabling with 1,000 fish getting clobbered.

[/ QUOTE ]

You guys are crazy if you think that there is anywhere near 4000 people that 10-table. (or 4-table for that matter).

That's a pretty standard number of online players for this time at Party since the split. That number doesn't mean there are 40k players sitting at the tables playing real money, but just logged into the site.

Also remember that Party's in the middle of the 3 billionth hand promotion and that's certainly been drawing more of a crowd lately.

No it doesn't. This is how it worked when the Skins were still attached, since one person might have 4 accounts. Party counts ACCOUNTS LOGGED IN, not butts in seats.

I previously only had an Empire account. Now I play at party.

This is what I always thought.

I don't know why there is suddenly a rash of people who think that one player on 2 tables gets counted twice.

Why is it so hard to believe?
Party is all over the place on TV and in various magazines.
Fish aplenty.
I play against so many new opponents each night whom I've never seen before it's incredible.

To the person who said that they assumed Empire had 40-50% of the players there:
Huh??
All you had to do was look at the MTT's there to know that they really didn't have that many players on Empire.

Party advertisements are freaking everywhere.
Everyone knows partypoker...many people who don't even play poker have heard of partypoker.
Empire poker just isn't very well-known and it's not even close.

I know a couple of people who occasionally play on party...and they have NEVER heard of Empire or skins.
One guy thought that Moneymaker won his seat to the WSOP via Party (he didn't know about pokerstars...this was before all the Stars TV commercials).

Party is freaking everywhere.
The skins never had a huge amount of players to begin with. And they still don't now (and obviously quite a bit less than they did before)
