Default Trips on flop

Shorthanded 30/60 game, 4 or 5 players. MP, a loose player raises. Everyone folds, I call w/ Q9s in the BB. Flop comes 9-9-2, w/ 2 clubs. We've been heads up a lot and I have checkraised him on every flop, w/ both draws and pairs. I checkraise him on this flop too. Turn is an 8d. I lead, thinking he will call me down w/ A-high and don't want to give a free card, but he raises. Now I think he might have a big PP. How do I get the most money? Keep pumping the turn or checkraise the river and hope he thinks I'm bluffing?

I agree here too. Ram and jam him for every bet you can as soon as you can.

He could be semibluffing with a flush draw or raising to get a free showdown, so you must 3-bet and lead the river.

I did - he called. I led the river (non-club) and he called. He showed AA - I think even if I called the turn and checkraised the river I wasn't gaining a bet as we was pretty conservative postflop. Just checking - thanks.
