Re: High card win %
[ QUOTE ]
I'm positive my winrate is so high because of how aggressively I play sb openlimps. To isolate this play I run this filter under the general tab: -position off the button more than or equal to 2 -has between 3 and 10 people at the table -between 0 and 2 people seeing the flop -blind status big blind -any raise I get 390 hands and a wr of .29 bb/hand [/ QUOTE ] Are you saying that you raise any open-limp HU? |

Re: High card win %
I thought over 28% was a tad high so I checked my 10k 1/2 hands and my win was less than 12% there. This stat must have very high variance. Over 30k hands mostly 1/2 and 2/4 it evened out to 23.16% with 213.64 profit.

Re: High card win %
Wow, I'm shocked. I'm at 21% over 100K+ hands. This is mostly 10/20+ but I guess I'll have to reevaluate what I think a good win % for no pair is. Previous to this thread I thought 17-18%ish was pretty good.

Previous to this thread I thought 17-18%ish was pretty good. Krishan [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure we can divine much more than interesting thoughts from this stat as a percentage. The limits (and the general aggressiveness of the game), and more importantly the number of players at the table are going to influence this quite a bit. A decent chunk of HU and 3-handed play is going to push both the number of times we SD no-pair and the number of times we're good with it higher (though I'm really not sure if the % would move a whole lot). I think, if we're trying to derive something about our game from the Misc no-pair data, it should probably come from the $$ won stat. We'd like it to be positive obviously meaning that we're making good judgments on showing down (though even this will be screwy because of all the "bet turn IP take free SD UI" plays) but I'm not sure how big the positive $$s get before we worry that we're not showing down enough. I guess if my $$ were significantly + or - I'd pay careful attention to my decision-making on no-pair hands in my session reviews for a while. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'll do that vs a generic until I get a read (or until I get limpreraised). I'm working up an article in response to Wookie's, and I'm still in the process of fleshing out all of the logic involved. I promised Wookie that I wouldn't do this anymore if I couldn't sufficiently counter his article. I've had great results though. |
