Re: Help with probability in Casino War.....no joke.
so you blew half your bankroll trying to win $1? this system is retarded. when does it stop?
if you win the first time do you quit? if you lose then you double, and double and double. say you get back to even. then what do you do? bet $1 again? if you do this you will have a series of small wins, followed by a large loss. and don't think that if you play one day and then come back the next day it's a fresh start. it would be the same as just playing one long session |

Search "martingale", plain and simple. Note: Don't let anyone tell you it has to do with table maximums. [/ QUOTE ] It never ceases to amaze me that people say that this would work if not for table maximums. |

Re: Help with probability in Casino War.....no joke.
Betting progressions don't work. You can't ad a bunch of negative numbers and come up with a positive number. A "negative" (increase bets after you lose) progression trades a high probability of a small win for a low probability of a big loss. A "positive" (increae bets after you win) progression trades a high probability of a small loss for a low probability of a big win. Niether alters the house advantage (percentage-wixe) one bit. Either one will lose more money long-term than flat betting your base bet (because you bet more money total). Yes, the house edge at casino war comes entirely (not mostly) from the ties. If you tie with a big bet out, you lose more. Except for increasing from 2 to 3 after the second loss, this is a Martingale. The person that invented it has been dead for a long time. The person who claims to have invented it han't thought it through very well.
