Default Did I hang myself with overthinking here?

NL 200

Villain just sat down but seems like a freaking maniac.

On the riveR I can't imagine a) that he would call down, maniac or not, with a flush draw

and b) that he thinks "aha i got him, scare carD"

Umm, people call down all the time with flush draws.

Especially when people call their all-ins when they hit.

Firstly, your flop raise looks just a touch too small, that's only a half pot raise. I'm probably being too picky here, but I'd make it at least $35. No big deal though

And yes, people call with flush draws, some people even do it on the turn OOP. So, if you are sure that he's not the type to bluff a scare card, then fold the river

preflop and turn play are good of course

Yeah I know. I was "post tilting" when I wrote this post and trying to justify my poor call anyway possible.

I think i fold the flop. Joking. hand looks good, river is player dependant but a fold is standard and ok in my books

folding river is standard here... looks like a flush draw that got there to me. i dont see how anyone would really bluff all in the flush draw at these limits since no one really will fold to these all ins.

"Villain just sat down but seems like a freaking maniac."

What's with the small flop raise?

Besides that, I think you have a fold on the river without reads even though you have the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

umm not everyone is a good player, many maniacs are not aware of pot odds, or simply dont care.. also if he knew you were gonna pay off his FD with you're whole stack he actually had the correct implied odds to make a call on the turn
