Default Games spread at President St. Louis?

I know I should go out to harrah's if possible, but I am staying down near the arch and am not going to have a car. What games/limits are normally spread during friday-saturday during the day at the President boat??

I was there a couple of weekends ago in a similar car-less situation. They were spreading a NL game and a few tables of 4/8 with 1/2 blinds.

Can't say I liked the room. It was a total dump, hidden behind a giant staff of life preservers and mostly stocked by locals that knew each other. Lots of showing cards to the other players while they were still in the hand -- reminded me of a home game.

Games were soft, though, and if it's all you've got ...

Mr. Lawyer,

if you're gonna be in the St Louis area I would recommend you ditch any plans to goto the president's casino and goto either:

FYI - I believe Harrah's has a shuttle from Downtown St. Louis, not sure of Ameristar but you could probably swing a decent cab fare:

1. Harrah's in Earth City - new room is one year old, nice tables, big screens, spread good range of limits...

2. Ameristar in St Charles - although this place draws more of a local crowd and is about 15 min from St Louis, they have a decent poker room with good dealers and another good range of limits.

you are going to step onto the "President"...ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!.....Believe me, if that were my only option...I would choose not to play poker, at all. The people who own that metal scrap yard, ought to be run out of town.

I would walk to Ameristar before I went to President. That place is a shithole.

The Missouri Botanical Garden is wonderful and the walk will be good for you. Be sure to feed the Koi in the Japanese garden.

The St. Louis Zoo is free and very nice.

I am just pulling your chain. I have played at Harrah's and Ameristar and they are both nice. I have never played at the President so I am going on heresay that is a complete dump but the games are soft.
