Default NL 5/10 Full with Slick

Villian is solid, maybe a little tricky, not a nutpeddler.
He's 24/5/2.5 over a couple hundred hands or so. Other flop caller is donk.

3 limpers to me in MP. I make it 65 with AK. Villain and donk call.

210 in pot. Flop is 9 9 K. Checked to me. I make it 200. Villain mini-raises. Donk folds.

I...????

I assume stacks around 1000 and 10-handed.

It's really bad, but I think you have to muck. If you continue, it's because you want to play for your stack. You can get no more information out of villain.

I would have bet less on the flop, maybe 120, then you have room for some pokerplay on the next streets if you don't take it down. As you played it, you trapped yourself.

I dont get it. People on this form always say bet the pot on the flop, then the hand plays itself. Well he did bet the pot and now people are saying he shouldnt overbet? I dont get it.

As for the hand, he might have KQ suited, or AK as well. I think I push.

I was the villain in the hand.....not that anyone cares.

You reraised and I folded. I had complete air.

it has to do with the texture of the flop. in this case there aren't any draws out there (just a remote gutshot on a paired board) and so it is a WAWB situation. usually 1/2 pot bet is good there.

Do you really fold here? I mean honestly. I don't think I can ever muck this on the flop to a miniraise. Ever. I mean really. Geez. Maybe I just suck though.

Just shove 'em in there and lose to A9 or something lame.

I wish. I got it in on flop, was shown AA. I didn't put him on AA as I figured he would 3 bet to insure he doesnt have to see flop 3 handed out of position. Plus, maybe donk would get crazy.

Anywy, I played it poorly and he played it well. As I played it, I'm thinking flop check raise from solid, almost begging donk to come along, is probably a fold.

I really like the suggestion of underbetting the flop. I just hope it doesnt encourage the "he's weak, c/r with air" line of thought.

Say I bet 125 into 205 pot (or less or more?), he c/r, donk folds....

A. I call ???

B. And then on turn... if he bets 2/3 or more, you fold????

C. If he checks, you obviously check, then call reasonable river bet?????
