The most important thing you can get from this thread is realizing this is not at all close to a fold. If you fold on the river in spots like this or similar situations, it is a mistake in your game.

I would have probably bet the flop, but as far as the river...

I say 3 bet, but you should at least call. Folding is horrible.

Definitely should have played the flop faster.

Raise flop; cap river.

*grunch*

RIVER: hero reraises. If villain had two pair/set on turn, he probably would have reraised you. I'm reading villain to have Qs, maybe AQ or QJ. At the least you call.

I called, but after losing to a boat I wondered if calling was correct. On the river I'm getting 11:1 on a call, and the only logical hand that he would raise here that I beat would be the Qs, and even that would be pretty thin on his part. The problem is, does he even have the Qs and be willing to raise it 1 out of 12 times?

Thinking that you should fold this is a horribly results-oriented question. There is no question that you should at least call here.

Don't fall in love with this "I can make the big laydown" idea in LLHE. It will cost you a few big pots at the very least. Also, when players see you make folds like this, they get really tricky on the river thinking you'll fold to any scare card. For one more bet to win eleven, you have to call with the top flush against one player.

Get some bets in there man. You flopped the nuts. He three bet you preflop. He's on the loose and aggressive side. He's not folding. He's probably raising. Get some bets in there.

Don't fold the river.
