Default Busting my B&M cherry

I will be heading to Vegas on Thursday and will be busting my B&M cherry. After checking around (mostly on allvegaspoker), I think I will try to hit up Aladdin, Excalibur, Harrah's, MGM, and IP. Will most likely play 3/6 or 4/8 to get a feel for the action. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have a few questions... (ducking from the flames already and I do have my cup on in case Capone Jr kets kick happy )

1. What buyin is typical for these limits? I was thinking about 35BBs or so?
2. Do you need to lockup your seat once you are seated to get chips, or will most places run them for you?
3. Any places to stay away from?
4. What places besides the MGM have auto-shufflers?

I'll be the one wearing reptile glasses, with an unlit cig, sniffing my orange, playing maniacally like everyone thinks Gus Hansen does, and screaming at people like Hellmuth.... well OK, maybe NOT, but that persona would bring droves of people waiting to sit at my table because they all would have me named King Flounder! Stay away from Luxor. That place blows.

Excalibur reminds me of Circus Circus. (this is NOT a good thing)

Bust it at Monte Carlo. It has a juicy 4/8 game and auto shufflers.

Excalibur has recently expanded their poker room and it actually is pretty big now. Luxor's poker room isn't really even a room (don't bother). Highly recommend Monte Carlo for live play only and Golden Nugget and Binion's for live play and tournament play. Also the Mirage poker room is outstanding. Good Luck to ya.

Other rooms with the automatic card shufflers are Bellagio, Wynn, Orleans, MGM Grand. You would like the games at the MGM and the Excalibur. Good limits for you, and average players.

I just got back from Vegas last night. I havcen't typed up the trip report yet, but I played Bellagio, MGM, Alladin, Excalibur, and Bally's. I recommend 4/8 at MGM and 3/6 at Alladin (late night). I had a lot of fun there and the players were pretty bad. Excalibur is a nice place to play a game if you're short stacked. The player are some of the worst I've seen. Stay away from the SnG tourneys at Alladin. The management, blind structure and chip stacks (1000) all sucked.

Re: buyin 20bbs is plenty. You can always buy another rack.

when I stayed at IP i played there about 15hrs, and maybe 2-3 of those were 3/6, the rest of the time only 1/2NL and 2/4$ limit were available and no one wanted to play 3/6... but the $3/hr comps make up for it @ 2/4$
