Default Got my dual Dell 2001FPs yesterday ...

... and they are SWEET!!!! Stand swivels, height adjustable, can rotate to portrait mode and oh yeah -- the 1600x1200 resolution ain't too bad either

Went out Sunday and bought a PNY Verto GeForce 6600GT dual DVI card and had the system ready to go. Important notes for anyone buying a video card for a similar setup:

1) Any card with nVIDIA 6600GT chipset won't do -- some have 1 DVI, some have 1 DVI and 1 VGA and some have dual DVI. Make sure you get one with the right type and number of ports. The writing on the boxes is pretty small on most.

2) Make sure you get the right bus type. A PCI Express (PCI-X) card needs a newer computer with PCI-X support. It will not work in a regular PCI slot. AGP 8x cards will work in older AGP 4x/2x computers.

The LCDs have 4 port USB hubs built in to them which is great but there is one problem -- when you turn the monitor off, the SB hub loses its power source as well. This is BAD when you have a USB wireless card hooked up through the monitor and suddenly your computer is offline (datamining anyone?)

Why turn the monitor off? Just allow it to sleep. But yeah, that still seems like poor programming to connect main power to USB.
