I think if people make a post they often include any reads they may have. I think one reason you don't often see some elaborate post with all the environment/feel qualities that contribute to people's play, is that, alot of this is online play that is someone multitabling and people are trying to make the correct +EV play. That is something you can teach through a forum. Its pretty tough to teach others how to read properly through a forum...

but i rarely see any posts about what was really going on in the hand......all the facts and math, but what was the read???

I don't think you've been reading the forum enough. Lots of these posts, especially by the more experienced players, have included reads.

Many times there is no read, and knowing how to play in that type of situation is very important.

its my opinion that people who think that feel and timing is a very important part of online poker tend to be poor players on average. hand reading is probably the most important part of the game, but "reads" that come from feel are only a small part of hand reading

I pick up some reads based on timing tells. I play with the same people all the time, shorthanded.
