Default War of the Worlds

I just got back from seeing War of the Worlds. It's a pretty darn good movie. There were a few spots where it had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I would rate it 9 out of 10.

There were a few things I didn't like about the movie but I am afraid to post the details here because many have not seen it. I can tell you that I think they could have come up with a better ending for the movie.

Saw it last night (yeah, before it came out, connections rule). I gotta say it was, in fact, very good, but I'm not sure I'd call it 9/10. Probably 8/10 tops. Very good, but not a classic.

Despite Tom Cruise, I plan to see this.

Just saw it. Very well directed (almost goes without saying), and good acting jobs all around, although Tom Cruise is miscast. It was really going strong until about half way through the story, which incidentally is when they decided to end the movie. "I don't really know how we're going to wrap this up, so lets just stop here." I won't ruin the ending, but it's a copout. Pretty decent overall though.

Absolutely horrible and such a waste of time. 3/10 only for a few of the effects. The storyline, realism, acting, that annoying azz girl, all make it such a horrible movie even though SS directed it.

Don't want to be a spoiler, but does it end like the book?
