Help me with PokerTracker...

Downloaded PokerTracker yesterday (trialversion) just to try it out. But how do I get my hand histories loaded to the program? I used autorequest but the handhist. where sent to my e-mail and then what? Havent had the time to read all in the helpfile.

And what I can see you can just request the 100 last hands, is that MY 100 last played hands or also the hands I dont took part in? And I also figure that you gotta request quite often if you just can get 100 hands at time.....?

It is the last 100 hands in which you were dealt cards.

Yes. I prefer to get lots of overlap so I don't miss any hands (PT skips duplicates of hands already in the DB). I order every hour for 1 table, 30 minutes for 2 tables and 20 minutes for 3 tables. That usually gives 65 - 70 new hands.

File -> Import Hand Histories. You should be able to figure out from there. If not, let us know.

Maybe stupid but stil havin problem with PT. Cant import hand hist. cuz I use hotmail. But I´ll saving them to a text file using worpad but it doesnt work anyway. Wordpad changes the textlines and I think maybe thats the problem.

And a quest. to a pevious answer. Does PT really recognize same hands if you import dublicats?

Did you save it as an .rtf file accidentally? Try just using notepad.

And, yes, PT will really discard duplicates when you import and it will report how many hands it ignored as duplicates as well. All of the hands have a unique ID.

No I saved it as a *.txt using wordpad. I tried notepad but it was to much to save. But still I think that the problem is the textlines. I mean when I copy the text to WP it doesnt show the same way it does when you revcieve it in your mail. It uses "full" lines, and maybe thats why PT havin problem reading it?

On the import screen, there is a link to help (I believe) that tries to troubleshoot importing problems. One of the things it mentions is to be careful how you have "Word wrap" set in Notepad. Take a look at the help and try its advice.

Okey, hope I´m not 2 enoying. But I managed to save it without wrapping (in wordpad). But another problem has occured. Get a error message after PT have read the hands:

test.doc : Error chip count not a valid number for player devilman for game #259503561.

And this is just one of many. Anyone had the same problem?

from hotmail (no need to copy and paste into notepad):

*Right-click the email.
*Choose "save as". It will save as a .html file.
*Go into PokerTracker and import the file (make sure you change the "files of type" from .txt to ALL in the import window)
