WSOP Indiana Info
*Cross-posted in B&M*
I got to the event today and wasn't at all shocked at what happened, as I've been around Caesars Indiana long enough to know how they run things. I had wired my $340 last week and was told my spot was reserved. I actually called 3x verifying that everything was okay and that all I needed to do was pick up my seat card. So, I'm standing in line waiting to get this, when I hear someone say they wired money and they are an alternate, and I'm like wtf, I signed up when there was only 400 or so signed up. When I get to the cashiers cage, sure enough, I'm alternate #359, and all management could tell me was sorry, there has been some misinformation on the phone, you had to bring your drivers license in person. Apparently noone was told this and everyone was highly pissed off. Some decided to get their money back. I decided to just wait it out and see what the blinds were. Well when I get in blinds were already 100-200 and I had 1500 chips, but I was about 55% avg, and I was whatever, I drove an hour, I'll play. I was out quick. But anyway, for anyone else playing other events, the next 3 days are already sold out from what I was told, but they are taking alternates. I went ahead and signed up for every no limit event, I better have a seat this time. The next 3 days events should all have between 700-1000 players. |
