A hand I played.
The SB in this hand was a solid player. He was tight and aggressive and thinking. I was genuinely surprised when he called in the first place.
The EP guy was a live one. Way too loose and passive. Online, 6-handed EP guy limps, 2 folds, Hero raises A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the cut-off, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, EP calls. 3 to the flop, 7 small bets Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB bets, EP calls, Hero thinks long and hard then raises, SB 3-bets, EP calls, Hero calls. 3 to the turn, 8 big bets. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB bets, EP folds, Hero calls. 2 to the river, 10 big bets. River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB bets, Hero calls. The flop play was difficult for me considering the range of hands the SB might have. The river was also difficult. I'm also not so sure I didn't screw up the turn. Thinking back on it I'm sure there are things many of you guys would have done differently, perhaps on every street. What I don't know is why I can't do those things also. |

Re: A hand I played.
this looks fine to me. a TAG SB is either winning/chopping this pot a significant amount of the time

Re: A hand I played.
Ugh. I hate that sinking feeling. I like the PF raise. I like the flop raise. I don't like him betting into me on the turn, so I guess I call as well. I call down on the river as well. I wouldn't of played it different but that doesn't mean it's right. Hard to put him on a hand. the possibilities are endless.
EDIT: Raise the turn? LLL |

i don't think you want to get 3-bet here.

Re: A hand I played.
I think on the flop he can have 1 of 3 hands.
ATs 44 Two hearts (Another AQ is also probably possible like bakku mentioned, but I'm not sure he wouldn't 3-bet me pre-flop with it.) Of these I think 44 is most likely, which is the hand I put him on initially when he bet out on the flop. Once he bets the turn I pretty much eliminated a flush draw, and the Ace coming made 44 even more likely. I didn't want to raise the turn because I can't call a 3-bet and I don't want to give up my chance to catch on the river. When he bets the river I figured there was virtually no way I could win, but called anyway. |
