to be honest and i hate this effing answer, but i think it's read dependent to the extreme. have you played pots with him recently? he knows you have a big ace, how does he view you? how quickly did you call his bet on the turn? have you called a pot bet then folded to one on the river before?
i mean, that's what it comes down to, right? it's either a bluff, or it's not a bluff. i mean, it certainly ain't A crap kicker [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Against cardsharkk this is an easy call-I've made this call successfully with AK unimproved-if you haven't called him yet, he'll bet anything. Once he sees you can do that, he'll tighten up against you but w/TPTK here I'd have to call.

The problem I have is you were preflop raiser and made a nice CB on the flop. When you check the turn I'm going to pot behind you. I'm going to take a shot and say he puts you on mid pair and either has something like JJ and thinks he's good or whiffed and thinks he can take it down. Call.

so in the hand, i figured hes gotta think im calling here, and i folded...
now im thinking a call mightve been better. very close/tough decision. hes a player, and i believe he might even valuebet AQ here. i bet if ray zee had posted in this thread, he would tell me to go ahead and look him up here getting 2:1.
