I passed thru in June.

Holdem 2-4,3-6,4-8 and they may get other games down,
but that's the main menu.

Food/room comps based on time at table are only OK,
unless you are very fond of cardroom hotdogs.

room can be smokey, players can be fishy but why play
when there are three better rooms in town?

(Horeshoe, Golden Nugget, Grand in no particular order)

Best of Luck.

Small correction...Goldstrike(not Golden Nugget). I think Sam's Town is a fine place to play. Horseshoe and Goldstrike may be "better" because they're right next to each other, so there is plenty of other non-poker options.

The Goldstike has the best poker-room rate...but good luck in getting a reservation.

At Horseshoe and Grand, you won't find anything lower than 4/8. Sam's has the only 2/4 in Tunica.

I would put Sam's Town up there with the rest for low limit poker...the only place I would actively avoid would be the Hollywood...small room, waste of time.

Go down to the Hollywood on Saturday afternoon. Second fishiest game I ever played in, may have been a rare event but it was soft.

Gold Strike spreads a no limit game daily, AND it keeps players. I would avoid Sam's at all cost.

Why? I'll be the first to say it isn't the best room in Tunica, but it ain't that bad. I guess the smoking thing could be a factor, but I smoke and don't care. The games are really soft. Is there something I don't know?

I have played there twice for short periods of time. The 2-4 game there isn't my favorite but it is okay. The times I was there it seemed to be mostly locals and if you didn't push them to hard, they would pay you off. I am pretty sure they would tighten up on an agressive player and make it a more difficult game to beat.

Everyone at the table was very nice. It seemed to be a very friendly game and would be a good game for a beginner. I haven't played any other limits there so I can't comment farther.

This is most likely true through the week and maybe during the daylight hours of the weekend. I played there this past Sunday afternoon(2/4) and more than 1/2 the table knew each other and were very friendly...and very weak.

I don't think you'll find a bad 2/4 - 4/8 anywhere in Tunica, on a Saturday night.
