Here's the question:

1: Which team will win the game on December 12?
a) : New Orleans
b) : Atlanta

Handicap on!

well then it's pretty much impossible to win the million...and only like a 3% chance of even getting all 5 right in a week...

btw, the answer is b) Atlanta, of course

Question is up!

Who wins: New Orleans or atlanta

[censored] PP and their stupid [censored] promotions.

Assume a 50% correct guess...

5 of 5 each week: 1 in 32
4 of 5 each week: 1 in 6.4

40 of 40 correct: 1 in a Trillion (Really)

At 60% correct guess: close to 1 in a Billion

It is unlikely anyone gets part of the $1 million.

I'd say the odds on Atlanta winning are about 80%. The latest line is 10.5, and I've heard one StDev in football games is about 6 pts. At least this one seems like a gimme, but the lesson of the day (as always) could be...

Variance can be a bitch.

Well if one can pick 40 in a row, then one deserves a million bones. And nobody else is offering it, so might as well be Party. 30 party points is nothing and you are basically going to earn it anyway.

So it's pretty much free shot at $1M that nobody else is offering. Why are we being so critical of Party on this?

[ QUOTE ]
No clue what this promotion is or how technical they're getting, but the Super Bowl the Bears won was played in 1986.

For the 1985 season.

So the next question is going to be who wins Green Bay or Detroit I would imagine. That one could be tougher.

This is easily solved.

All you need to do is sign up for 40!*2 party accounts.

Then for today's question pick 1/2 atlanta and 1/2 norleans - then you only will have to fill out the half that won next week.

I should have thought of this yesterday.
