It is stupid to "avoid" players. A better thing to do would be to figure out how to adapt to different styles (some of them very good in a vacuum) in different positions relative to you.

I disagree that it's stupid to avoid players. Obviously, one would rather play a total donk than Phil Ivey.

The concentration of "good" players isn't high enough to make the effort of avoiding players worth it at the 55's. Anyone who's any good is either

a) playing a higher limit or
b) 3249637892q113243278786-tabling and playing predictably.

I don't even avoid people at the $109s. Seat selection is more important than table selection IMHO.

How about:
A) VPiP 11%, PFR 6%
B) VPIP 28%, PFR 16%
C) VPIP 55%, PFR 3%

Well it's hard to say. I mean some 11%/6%'s are very passive and fold their blinds to you - others understand ICM and all that and push a lot.. 28%/16% generally try to be somewhere on their right, but not right next to them.. 55%/3% somewhere to their left, but it depends on if they are lovers of the "reverse gap concept" and limp then call a push from their sb with A4o, etc

There are no hard and fast answers.. also you won't see many 55%/3% more than once, they tend to disappear..
