Default Re: Huge River Overbet from a total rock

I don't like this. I don't think he calls often enough with a worse hand for it to be a good move.

The board isn't that scary, especially against a villian who raised preflop. Here's the thing...I'm VERY sure that you're ahead here, and even though it's VERY unlikely that he has you beat...it's also VERY unlikely that a worse hand is going to call you. MAYBE he calls with AK. I don't even see AQ calling necessarily since AK looks like a pretty reasonable hand for you to have.

If your goal is for entirely meta-game type reasons, then you might be able to convince me (since the game is tight, you want loose calls against you in the future, because you're going to need to get chips in there somehow, right?), but only if you table the hand at the end.

Still...I'm pretty sure this is a "there's no way he's ahead, but no value in raising, so I call" scenario the majority of the time.
